Bidding on Lots
  1. Placing a bid constitutes acceptance of ALL of the below terms and conditions.
  2. Bidding starts as soon as you receive your auction list.
  3. Bids are accepted in dollar (USD) amounts only.
  4. Bids are accepted by phone only.

  5. Minimum bid increases are $5 for any lot under $50 and 10% on any lot over $50.
  6. “Up to” or “limit bids” are accepted bid options.
    • In placing such a bid, you are instructing the auctioneer to competitively bid on your behalf up to — but not to exceed — your given limit. This information is held in strict confidence.
  7. Sport Collectors Ltd. reserves the right to accept or reject any bids.
Lots Closing
  1. 7:00 pm — If a bidder has not bid on a lot before 8:00pm (CST), a bidder cannot bid on that lot after 7:00pm (CST). Because of this rule, if you are the only bidder on a given lot at 7:00pm (CST), the auction will close and you will automatically win that lot.
  2. 8:00 pm — On all other lots, auctions will remain open until 8:00pm (CST) to insure that bidders have time to call in order to check on and/or increase their bids. The phones will shut down and the auction will be officially closed at 8:00pm (CST) with no exceptions.
Winning Lots
  1. You may call for final results after 11:00am (CST) the day following an auction.
  2. Winners will be notified by phone or email if you prefer.
Paying Lots
  1. A 15% Buyers Premium will be added to all winning bids.
  2. Postage, insurance, and handling fees are to be paid for by the purchaser.
  3. Illinois residents must pay 8.75% State Sales Tax OR have a valid resale tax number on file with us in order to avoid this charge.
  4. Payment is accepted in the forms of cash or checks of all types — NO CREDIT CARDS!
  5. Payment must be made within ten (10) days of winning notification.

Shipping Lots
  1. Winning lots are shipped upon receipt of full payment.
  2. If any item(s) are damaged during shipping, DO NOT return item(s) to Sport Collectors Ltd.
    1. Keep item(s) wrapping and protection in tact.
    2. Call us.
    3. Sports Collectors Ltd. will contact the insurance company.
  3. In order for returns to be accepted, any questions, comments, or concerns must be submitted via phone call no later than seven (7) days after item(s) are received.
